Expansion joint bridging system - has each of bridging elements held by spacers in grooves and sealed cords

Expansion joint bridging system has a ductile bridging element with sealing spacers on two opposing sides clamped in carriers bounding the bridging system on both sides. The sealing spacers are in the form of shaped projections held in grooves widened out at the back i.e. at the closed end of the grooves. Security of fixture is achieved by means of gasket cords of resilient material, e.g. polychloroprene rubber brought into the same grooves as the sealing spacers.
