The tube is curved and the internal wall reflects the radiation. The radiation is passed from the source to the receiver by the tube which is made of metal. Alternatively the tube is made of plastic and the internal wall is coated with metal. The tube comprises an inlet and outlet for the medium or a number of openings for the entry of the surrounding medium. The two tube ends to which the radiation transmitter (1) or receiver (6) respectively are connected, are positioned adjacent to each other. The light emitted by the radiation source (2) passes through a tube (3) with an inlet (4) and outlet (5) for the medium.
