In the fabrication of an artificial tooth, by initially preparing a metal reinforcement for the support of ceramic material for coating, at least partly, the core so as to constitute the body of the tooth in the desired form, (a) the metal reinforcing insert is formed starting from a profile consisting of a central core supporting on both sides reinforcing wings partially delimiting cavities in which the ceramic material is to be placed. (b) the profile is partially modified so as to be inscribed in an envelope designed as a function of the shape of the tooth and the charge of ceramic material. Ensure a good bond between the metal and the ceramic and a better monogeneity of the latter.
