The bed for patients and incapacitated persons is designed with facilities so that the patient can wash himself without assistance. This bed has frame (1) and mattress (2) and a bath arrangement which can be rotated on the bed frame into any required position over the mattress or outside mattress area. The bed frame (1) carries a washing system (40) with outlet sink (40a) and at least one water tap (41). This system is connected to the bed frame by a hinge arrangement (43) so that it can be revolved optionally into any position over the bed mattress (2) or outside the mattress. This bed has also a full size bath and water closet bowl under the mattress system.
