The electric motor has clutch and brake discs and a hub (23, 24) for each disc (21, 22) on the drive shaft (18). The hubs are connected with a magnetically conductive armature ring (26, 37) via spring elements (27, 36) which have cooling air passages and corrugations (86, 87). Preferably the corrugations are provided in the middle between the hubs and the armature rings in radial direction. The spring elements may be leaf springs and the corrugations reach over the full width of the spring elements in a plane orthogonal to the drive shaft axis. The corrugations are typically annular and their width may be 0.3 to 0.6 times the radial spacing between the hubs and the armature rings.
