In vitro simulator for solubility tests of - medicine in gastro intestinal tract

In vitro tests of the solubility of medicinal substances in the gastro intestinal tract can be simulated by letting a cylindrical container, filled with pref. 45 vol.% of beads and 55 vol.% of the medicine plus artificial gastric and/or intestinal juice, rotate around its horizontal axis at 1 rev/min. A time sequence controller actuates a metering pump and a fraction collector actuates a metering pump and a fraction collector so that samples can be extracted and analysed at regular intervals.
