The extensible stage assembly has vertical supports, relatively offset by about their breadth, with bearing-arms at the top for seats or running surfaces, and projecting roller units at the bottom, with rollers in bearing units supported on springs. Brackets are fitted at the lower ends of the vertical supports, projecting beyond the tops of the adjacent roller units and arranged so that they lie on the tops of the unsupported ends of these units when the stage is extended and loaded. Bearing plates are in the form of rubber or plastic plates, evenly laid on the undersides of the roller units. There may be rollers or slide units on each of the brackets. The springs may be compressed rubber springs. This can be used on a floor with low pressure loading capacity.
