Four-terminal network with high value terminal resistor - compensates output capacitance of wideband amplifying stage and load input capacitance

The network is bilaterally insertable and also compensates about the same input capacitance of a following load. A bridged T circuit is provided on both sides of the network, whose series arm consists of two coil halves coupled together and connected in series. The T-circuit shunt arm consists of one of the capacitances to be balanced, and the bridging component is a capacitor. The series arm inductance is about equal to the product of the square of a terminating impedance and the capacitance to be balanced. The two bridged T circuits are connected in series by series-connecting the two coils and their parallel capacitances. The terminating impedance is connected as a shunt arm to the junction point between the two coils.
