The treetunk processor has an annular tool carrier body which encircles the trunk, is rotatable about its horizontal mid-axis, and bears tool arms projecting radially inward and each carrying a revolving tool and pivotable in a radial plane. there are two or four pairwise diametrically opposite arms, respectively attached by a pivot mounting block, rotatable about an axis radial of the body axis, to the carrier body, which can be locked against rotation at least one position. Preferably the blocks can be locked in the positions with the tool axes parallel to, and at 90 deg. to, the body axis. The apparatus can be used for shaping, prism-shaping and planing as well as for debarking.
