The connecting profiles are pressed against the main profile by an internal expanding rigid foam plastic to ensure positive keying. The profiles are designed so that the expansion effect for positive keying ensures, by means of the wedging action, that all locking faces are in positive contact. This eliminates tilting forces which could distort the parallelism of the composite profile faces. The connecting profiles engage with the grooves of the main profiles by means of their thicker ends which extend in wedge shape form and this ensures press fit at the edges of the groove openings.
