Slide calculator for establishing construction dimensions of stairways - has horizontal and two transverse slide cards to permit ready construction of stair configurations

A slide calculator manufactured from plastic or cardboard sheet enables the dimensions of a given stair design to be readily evaluated by screwing tabular data displayed in windows within the slide housing. The main housing (2) is formed an open ended envelope that provides guidance for a longitudinal internal slide (3) and two transverse slides. A number of apertures (6, 7, 8, 9) display information relating to the dimensions, e.g. rise, no. of steps, vertical height, horizontal distance etc. for specific stair configurations. The three slides may be moved independently to establish a specific stairway design of general size A, B, C. Variations in basic patterns are indicated on the right hand side of the horizontal slide and relate the specific apertures (e.g. dimension B relates to 7).
