An external cladding for a heating radiator consisting of adjacent plates which are attached by means of two rear attachment devices to support beams running lateral to and fastened in front of the radiator, such that the support devices have ribs running normal to the plane of the plates, have holes (18) to take up the fixing pins (19) within the ribs (17). The fixing pins (19) engage in holes (13) in the support beams (10). These pins (19) are produced from plastic material and have a slightly conical shaft with an annular arrestor rib (20).
