A cladding element which can be supported by a suitable projecting portion of a building behind a set of facade panels, carries welded on sleeves, so that it can act as a support for pipes, cables etc. at right angles to it, has sliding sleeves with or without roller bearings inside these sleeves permitting movement. The element is plate shaped, with slots in its bottom edge for location of and fitting anchoring keys. In the spaces formed between the elements, behind the facade panels, insulation can be inserted.
