Equipment for forming and conveying suspended loops in endless band of matl. esp. during steaming of textile matl. after dyeing or printing operation includes a pair of endless chains uniformly driven over guide sprockets and fitted between opposite flat links with lateral supports for the matl. and a feeding roller mounted above top run of the chains near their rear sprockets. The lateral supports which are mounted on outwards projecting arms of the chain links are fitted at one end with a sprocket which is engaging the teeth of a rail located above top run of the chains and pivotably mounted above the rear sprockets to rotate the supports during the chain movement. The feeding roller is mounted between a pair of arms pivoting about axis of the rear sprockets by a drive synchronised with the drive of the chains. The matl. is fed from the feeding roller on the lateral supports of the chains over a paddle shaft mounted between the arms of the feeding roller.
