The stranding machine for cable production comprises a second delivery device at the machine front; stranding discs and nipples on both sides of each carriage; couplings in the carriage driving shaft and swingable spiders before and between carriages; pay-off drums for middle inlets designed also as take-up drums; a second delivery device and a second take-up drum, and couplings in the carriage driving shaft and reversing pulleys positioned between the carriages. Two separate motors are provided for the carriages. Gears are inserted between drives and corresponding carriages. Movable pay-off units can be provided on two sides of each carriage.
