Two pictures are taken of an object from different locations next to each other on one film. This is done with two mirrors, a vertical hold, and a blending mirror, positioned almost parallel to each other. Only a part of a picture comes directly through the lens on the film and the other part of the picture reaches the lens next to the first part through the mirrors. One of the mirrors covers half the lens. The two mirrors can be on the same side or on opposite sides of the optical junction of the pictures. The mirrors are adjustable left and right, and close or distance take is controlled by swivelling the mirrors on a vertical axis.
