Bulkhead lamp for blasting areas - travels along rails, with protection against damage by rocks

A lamp protected against rock blasting comprises lighting bodies (7, 8) mounted on a frame, e.g. lamp housing (4, 5, 6) which is movable along a suspension rail track (1) with at least one rock guard (9) which can be brought into position in front of the foremost lighting body (8). The guard may be pivoted about a horizontal axis (10) out of a plane parallel to the track and locked in both end positions by a pin-socket arrangement (11). The frame may be connected to a carriage (2) which moves along a monorail track and which has an automatic lock.
