A machine for laminating a foil onto the surface of a plastics profile that is in a softened (plastified) state, has a tongue arranged in an extruder housing. The tongue has an extension passing through a hollow extruded profile. The end of the tongue lies behind a softening (plastifying) zone. A trailing mandrel having the same profile as the tongue is arranged at the end of the tongue. At least 1 coating roller and at least 1 supporting roller are arranged in the region of the mandrel. Used to apply a covering foil e.g. to plastics door or window frames. Pressure may be applied during laminating without risk of deforming the plastics profile.
