Cooling type heat interchange system - with ice-water as intermediate medium, has coiled tube exchanger units and circulating pump system

A cooling type cold exchange unit using ice-water as the intermediate carrier has an evaporator in the form of a tube coil and a sheet exchange tube coil both in the shape of Archimedn spirals lying one below the other inside a container. A drilled baffle plate separates the upper evaporator from the lower heat exchanger and at least one stirrer is incorporated powered by a drive shaft from a motor such that circulation between cold and warm regions takes place in a single direction only. Several other variations of the basic system are described, some incorporating more than one set of interchange coils.
