The whole window assembly comprises a blind frame and wings, with double glazing, and with spacer units mounted peripherally between the edges of the pane, and sealing the interior space between them, carrying a groove which is open outwards and runs into the plane of the panes. The sides of this spacer project outwards beyond the edges of the panes, and rebound inwards relative to the panes outer surfaces. The groove in the spacer is set between the edges of the panes, and its base may be crossed by the pivotal axis of the window wing. Locking battens may be insertable into the groove, mounted in the blind frame and interrupted at the height of the window wing's pivotal axis, which may be conically widened while the adjacent edges of the locking battens are narrowed. Max. area of vision is provided, panes are easily cleaned all over, and the window wing is securely locked in place when closed.
