Wall-facing panel with decorated-finish visible surface - applied in flat plastic shell with border covering decorative material edges

The wall-facing panel has a visible side composed of decorative finishing material; this is inserted into a flat shell pref. made of plastic, with the periphery of this covering the edges of the decorative material. The plastic shell pref. comprises a flat base (4) and an edge (3) standing at right angles to this, or at an obtuse angle, between 120 deg. and 150 deg. The edge of the shell may taper to a lip shape (31). the shell may be 1 - 3 mm thick, and the whole facing panel 4 - 7 mm thick. There may be projections formed onto the base of the shell, anchoring the decorative material by being embedded in them, and there may be further projections on the outside of the shell base for fixture of the panels. A transparent plastic coating may be applied to the visible side of the decorative finish layer.
