Heat-insulated layered floor or wall slab - with open service duct channel in support layer between two lateral edges

The purpose is to facilitate the laying of services of all kinds - heating, sanitation, electricity supply or others - in a floor of composite slabs, without involving time-consuming work of cutting away before laying. The slabs comprise a covering layer of ceramic or natural stone etc, and a supporting layer underneath of foamed plastic, or other heat-insulating material. The service duct channel (5) is provided in the supporting layer (4), extending between two slab side edges (7), and is open at least towards the bottom side of the slab (2). The slab may be rectangular in cross-section. The top of the channels may be covered by a thin insulating layer, and they may be formed into the supporting layer in the course of slab production.
