The guide part for the magnetic tape consists of a separate element which is fixed to the support bracket. The guide part is made of sintered ceramics, or similar material, which is resistant to abrasion and cemented to the support bracket. The design of the support bracket is such, that in any position it is in balance with the cemented guide part. The pressure roller (6) and bracket (12) are carried on the same shaft (18). The tape guide part (25) is fixed that is, cemented to the bracket (12) which is made of, e.g. spring bronze. The bracket (12) presses lightly against the friction discs (19, 20).
