Infinitely adjustable bed operated by body weight - has unlocking lever for raising up bed without standing up

The adjustable bed comrises basically three parts wherein a lockable axle is located at the level of the occupant's pelvis and is firmly connected to the part of the mattress forming the back, preferably about 150 mm below the pelvis or in or on a rod which is mounted at this point. By actuating only one operating lever the ed can be infinitely adjusted into a reading position, the lever being mounted on the outer edge of the bed, beneath the mattress and the centre of gravity of the occupant. When the lever is actuated and the occupant sits up slightly his centre of gravity centrally alters the position of the bed whilst the bed can be altered into the sleeping position merely by stretching out.
