The element consists of two rectangular wooden frames (1, 2), each composed of four vertical members (4-7) joined by two horizontal members (3). The two frames are joined together by four additional horizontal members. All the horizontal members fit between two vertical members to provide a rigid joint secured by bolts (8) passing through every pair of members in mutual contact. The corner joints are so arranged that a flush surface is provided on all faces to facilitate building of larger structures by placing one element on another and then bolting them together. The structures are intended to stimulate the imagination of children.
