Sampling device for testing quality of grape harvest - uses probe which is of helical shape to penetrate mass of grapes in bucket

Grape harvest smaple is subjected to prove insertion and extraction test through a helical probe (24) which is mounted on a stand which has four legs (10). Requisite ready entry and extraction for the probe is provided by an upper screw drive mounted in end plates coupled to the probe. A scraper (2) wipes the probe which can be conically pointed towards its free end. The power drive for the upper screw (20) may be transmitted via a flexible drive device.
