The fertilizer spreader has a mixing drum and a screw-type distributor, with a metering device at the outlet of the drum. A metering roller is mounted in a housing with a horizontal shaft. The roller is rubber coated with tines. On one side end of the shaft is a ratched-gear. On the landwheel is a cam disc which moves a pivot-lever during travel. The top end of the pivot lever is joined by a cable to the ratchet-lever. A return-spring draws back the ratchet lever. An adjustable gap extends over the metering roller. The metering device consists of a cylinder with a motor; In the bottom of the cylinder are adjustable openings.
