Prostaglandin analugues of formula (I) and their acid-addn. salts and esters with 1-8C aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or araliphatic alcohols, are new: (where R1 and R2 together form O or one is H and the other OH; R3 is 1-10C alkyl (opt. substd. by a 1-5C alkoxy, aryloxy, furyloxy or benzyloxy gp., itself opt. substd. by one or more halogen, CF3, 1-3C alkyl, phenoxy or halophenoxy), 3-7C cycloalkyl, or aryl or furyl opt. substd. by one or more 1-3C alkyl gps.). Cpds. (I) are useful as bronchodilators, hypotensives, anti-fertility agents and for treating gastro-intestinal disorders; they are more stable than natural PGE, PGF and PGA. Novel inters are also claimed.
