Vertically movable platforms on facade of tall buildings - are designed for transporting people and have vertical profiled rails for drive cables

Several platforms are provided across the total width of the facade and can be driven individually or in groups. A drive assembly e.g. an electric motor is provided for each platform at the bottom of a profiled vertical rail or a group of such rails or on the platform itself. This drive unit is connected to the platform traction and support cable which runs around a guide roller at the top of the rail. The vertical rails are combined with pipelines or are themselves formed as pipelines which are used to transport fire-extinguishing fluid e.g. water and have tapping points at each storey level of the building.
