Ventilator for restaurants and other frequented enclosures incorporates an electric blower built into a wall or partition between two separate rooms. The blower (6) which produces two opposed flows of air in both these rooms (3 and 4), should be designed so that the opposed flows each carry the same amount of air per unit time and should consist of two sections (8, 9) of which one conveys air from the first (3) into the second room (4) and the second section passes air from the second to the first room. The fan impeller (6) acting as blower has the vanes in the outer annular area (8) positioned the opposite way to those in the inner area (9) of the impeller.
