Waste compaction device with the pressure system including a pressure plate driven by a hydraulic cylinder movable in relation to the filler opening of a transportable container suitable for movement by skip transporting vehicles with guide sections (8) fitted to the side edges of the pressure plate (4) which fit into corresponding guides on the side jaws (3), and which are located at about the middle height of the pressure plate at or adjoining to the points of contact with the hydraulic cylinders (6). At least the lower guide sections are made as rollers (9), with the guides extending horizontally over a first section and inclined downwards in an adjoining section.
