Moulding sand cleaning plant - using compressed air to drive sand against impact plate to remove resin

Moulding sand cleaner consisting of a housing with a sand inlet and outlet and contg. an impact plate with a pneumatic device directed towards the plate for accelerating the sand. The pneumatic device consists of a tube open at both ends, and the end remote from the impact plate is surrounded by a ring chamber fed with compressed air and provided with a ring slot leading into the tube, and that a path is provided in the housing for recycling the air from the top to the bottom of the tube. The ring chamber can pref. be adjusted axially and is pref. located on the bottom end of a vertical tube, both being above a fluidised bed of sand. Used e.g. for removing a layer of resin from the surface of sand grains.
