Target plate with electric hit indication - has conducting wire grid layers insulated from each other

The target is provided with electric means for indicating a hit. For this purpose two electrically conducting layers are incorporated, which are insulated from each other and which cover the whole target area. These layers (4, 5) are connected to a system for indicating short circuiting. These layers are made of wire grids which are in turn subdivided into a number of sections within the same layer, which are separated from each other. These sections can be circular or arranged into squares. The use of wire grids simplifies the production of this target, and the wire grid electric characteristics can be modified more easily than, for example, those of metal foils or metal covered plastics films.
