The centrifuge is used to wash, dry and/or extract oil from turned, stamped, milled, trimmed, or cast metal and plastics parts or from cleaning of chips dust etc. The centrifugal drum is mounted vertically on the drive motor and swivelled round an axis, non-parallel and preferably horizontal to the centrifugal axis in the emptying process. The swivel angle is between 120 deg. and 160 deg. and the swivel axis is at least as high or higher than the drum in centrifugal position. The drive motor may be firmly secured to the centrifuge drum and electrically supported on a pivotal support arm.
