The housing (28) is fixed to the ski (10) with screws (29). The housing (28) has a central bore (30) which guides the spring loaded rod (11) with a shaped head forming tracks (11a) (11b) for the rollers (33). The rollers (33) are fitted to the ends of the hinged jaws (12, 13) which pivot on two pins (35, 36). One jaw (13) has a rigid transverse projection (15) which abuts against the sloping face (14") of the opposing member (14). The member (14) has a flattened head (14') which allows it to slide in the longitudinal direction. By sliding the member (14') the distance between the curved portions (37') of the jaws (12) and (13) can be adjusted to suit any given ski-boot. Other alternative adjustment methods such as cams and screws are described.
