Pendulum timepiece mechanism - has variable gearing adjusted in dependence on selected pendulum length

The timepiece mechanism has the pendulum driven by electric or mechanical means and the pendulum oscillation is transmitted to a conversion drive, for driving an analogue time display. The conversion drive includes a variable gearing (2-5) employing a sliding shaft (2) provided with axially spaced gear wheels, brought into operation in dependence on the position of the shaft, in accordance with the selected pendulum length. The sliding shaft (2) is operated via a lever (3), mounted in slots in the front and rear mounting plates (17, 18) of the mechanism and with a tongue (9) projecting at an angle from the lever (3) engaging in a groove (26) in the shaft (2).
