摘要
The oar blade consists of a main construction section (2), formed like a grid, and pref. several louvres or flaps. The louvres are movably fastened beside each other, alongside one edge of the main body. In one direction, the louvres are supported by the main body, while in the opposite direction, they are freely movable relative to it. The main oar body consists of a frame (3) and transverse (4)-and/or longitudinal reinforcing ribs (5). The distance between neighbouring ribs (4) is at most the same as the width of a louvre. The longitudinal edges of neighbouring louvres overlap in fin-like fashion. The louvres consists of synthetic-or rubber foil, and are welded or adhered to the ribs of the main body.
