The centre tapping of the primary winding is connected to a d.c. supply source terminal, and its two ends to collectors of switching transistors. The secondary winding of the transformer is connected to the load through rectifiers and a feedback winding to the switching transistor bases; two control transistors are provided, whose switching paths are in parallel with the switching transistors' control paths. Bases a control transistors are connected in parallel to a pulse source whose frequency is at least twice the natural frequency of the above circuit without the control transistors and the pulse source, with transformer operating at saturation; the pulse width is greater than the blocking time of switching transistors, but shorter than the time necessary for complete dissipation of transformer core magnetic energy.
