The bone cutting auxiliary device provides a true separating line and prevents the cutting blade running away from the required cutting direction. The device consists of a housing containing the cutting mechanism and has a support arm (17) coupled to it. Pref. the housing and the support arm (17) are pivoted together on a common axis and the angle between the housing and the arm (17) can be read off a scale and fixed by a set screw. A cutting blade can be fitted in a slit in a guide arm (15) in the housing or alternatively a laser device or other cutting device can be used.
