摘要

Piperazines of formula (I): e.g. 1-/2-(5-methyl-3-pyrazolyl)ethyl /4-(2-hydroxy-3-chlorphenyl)-piperazine, and their physiologically innocuous acid addition salts are new cpds. (I) are well tolerated cpds. with pharmacological activity on the central nervous system, esp. central nervous system depressant activity. Activities which have been observed include tranquillising, neuroleptic, narcosis potentiating, sedative, hypnotic, narcotic, adrenolytic and spasmolytic effects. (I) are also useful as intermediates for other pharmaceuticals.
