The broadband loudspeaker combination consists of several separate loudspeakers whose frequency bands over. The individual middle and/or high tone, loudspeakers are constructed as pressure gradient systems. The pressure gradient mode is achieved in at least the lower transmission region by coupling both sides of the membrane to the free sound area, irrespective of how the assembly is mounted into the loudspeaker housing. An acoustic element is connected into this coupling path to produce heart-shaped directional characteristics, if such directional properties are required. The housing may be closed at the rear and may have a circumferential fastening flange.
