Glass inlay for concrete slabs - uses mould with surface indentations for glass beads set in concrete and plastics

The glass beads are put into a mould with an uneven pitted surface and a mixture of concrete and molten plastic is added to form the surface layer. The mould is then filled with a filler concrete which is rammed in. The uneven surface of the top layer of the slab or stone ensures that the beads protruding from the concrete are all at slightly different levels, thus improving the reflective effects. The setting of the glass components also improves its resistance to frost, which could cause cracking.
