Multi bobbin cross winding machine - with auxiliary yarn guide with two notches for locating yarn end and guiding yarn to lap winding

Yarn cross-winding machine is provided with auxiliary yarn guide having a pair of notches, one of which serves for guiding the yarn to suction nozzle prior to starting of winding and the other which is offset along the axis of the guide w.r.t. the notch, guides the yarn during lap formation. Used in winding machines with spindles supporting a number of axially spaced bobbins and provided with means for supporting the bobbins and an elongate auxiliary guide mounted rotatably and parallel to the spindle axis. Guide is of simple construction yet permits predetermined yarn lap winding whilst being reliable in service.
