A procedure for producing bottles for spirits containing fruit includes removing the bottom of the bottles by milling to obtain an opening for filling the fruit in the bottles. When the fruit is in position the opening is closed. The bottom part (3) of the bottle wall is removed together with the bottle bottom (4) by milling from the bottle body and after the fruit has been filled in, the milled surface (6) of the bottom part is joined with the milled surface (5) of the bottle body by adhesive or welding. The bottle wall is thicker in the position of the milled cut and is recessed towards the inside of the bottle. The milled cut is covered after joining by adhesive or welding by a band of non transparent material.
