The stator (1) is punched out of sheet metal strips from a roll. The sheet metal may be lacquered on one or both sides, and is held together by screws or rivets, with the additional use of an adhesive lacquer. The screw or rivets are situated next to holes for screws (1), fastening the stator to a support construction. The stator packet is held together by welded seams on the back and there are shorter welded seams in groves, next to the holes for the fastening screws. Punched holes serve for the fastening of electrical conductors, accommodated in the grooves; or alternatively, are used for protection elements for the winding heads (7).
