A thresher type harvester has additional ground working devices (17, 21) and seed sowers (18) which operate at the same time as the cutting and threshing sections of the harvester. The ground preparation units (17, 21) of the thresher type harvester are in the form of scrapers, cutters or soil harrowing discs. After seed has been planted in the soil prepared by the harrowing discs (17) by means of the planters (18) the soil is flattened and packed down by means of packers (21). The lifting drive unit works at the top end between the front ground wheels (11) of the tractor.
