Slewing and luffing jib crane - has jib in three detachable sections with light alloy pulleys and derricking tie rod

The crane has a bar-type light alloy jib detachable from the foot section, with a derricking tie rod attached to the head section. The jib (6) comprises three screw-joined sections, detachable from each other. The foot section (6a) derricks on the crane superstructure (4), the centre section (6b) is of the same cross section throughout its length, and the head section (6c) accommodated the hoist rope pulleys (13). These pulleys and the tie rod (15) are also of light alloy. The tie rod can consists of a light alloy tube, or two such tubes alongside each other, coupled by ball joints to the jib head and to the derricking rope bridle (17). The jib head section can be of truncated cone shape, tapering towards the pulleys.
