摘要
The hammer head foundation has an I-shape which is mounted with its upper flange on springs or similar elastic damping means. Furthermore the centre of gravity (S) of the foundation is at the same level as the elastic mounting. In this way during horizontal earthquake shocks, tilting and with it the scaled up deflections do not occur and moreover the reaction forces of support on the fixed construction scarcely vary in the vertical direction; hence the static friction for the dampers persists. Furthermore the polar moment of inertia of the total aggregate is substantially increased about its longitudinal axis so that the quietness of the machine is improved.
