The endless wire type rope has at least two individual wires for cutting of rocks etc. A series of freely rotatable diamond bodies (2) are mounted at specific distances from each other attached to the multi strand rope. Each diamond body (2) is seated on a steel core of casing design. A distance piece (4) which is at least partially attached to the multi strand wire rope (1) itself is situated between two sequential diamond bodies (2). This distance piece (4) is of triple component construction, such that the middle section (4m) is connected to the wire rope (1) and both the outer sections (4k) are freely rotatable.
