A device is used for the removal of the bark and the small branches from felled tree trunks, wooden beams or long circular type articles, and, it has the decortication and branch removal devices combined to produce a single unit with a single hole rotor such that the branch removal device protrudes a specific length forward out of the rotor disc. The decortication or bark stripping device is situated behind the branch removal device pref. within the disc itself. The decortication and branch removal devices are mounted on two connected pivot arms.
